The RES3 is a self-indicating resin filter that softens water by removing minerals such as calcium and magnesium. By eliminating these unwanted minerals, RES3 helps prevent scale buildup inside the iron, reducing the risk of clogs and extending the unit's service life.
Designed for use in clear (see-through) containers, RES3 allows easy monitoring of its color-change feature. The resin gradually shifts from dark green/blue to amber as it becomes exhausted. Once amber is visible, the filter is no longer effective and should be replaced.
